Leading: Vision

Vision

In order to be an effective leader, one must have vision.  A long term, far reaching goal that incorporates lessons from the past, while keeping an eye on the future.  The most successful leaders are the ones who keep their companies and employees focused on the vision that they set out to achieve.  Below are some tools and ideas for fostering and conveying that vision.

  • Create a request box for your organization along with a communication strategy for all employees about the boxes and how suggestions would be handled.  Develop a work group to be responsible for the review of the inputs from the boxes.  Make sure to initiate some of the suggestions for continued confidence that employee’s opinion counts in the organization.
